PicSil will be one of the official sponsors of the Dubai CrossFit Championship , the first international competition sanctioned by CrossFit ^R Inc as a qualifier for the CrossFit Games 2019. Last August, CrossFit ^R Inc. announced changes to the CrossFit Games qualification process. Greg Glassman, founder of CrossFit, explained the following changes for the 2019 CrossFit Games:

The Open Games will take place in October instead of February (this change will not happen until next year).
The Regionals disappear.
The Invitational disappears.
A selection of international competitions will become official and will serve as a direct qualifier for the Games.

This is the case of the Dubai Fitness Championship which, since the official announcement on September 1, is now called Dubai CrossFit Championship .

Dubai CrossFit Championship, first official competition for the CrossFit Games

This four-day competition becomes the first event sanctioned by CrossFit Inc. to replace Regionals. The Dubai CrossFit Championship 2018 will take place from December 12 to 15 in the Arab Emirate of Dubai and will feature the participation of 37 men, 37 women and 10 finalist teams from the online qualifiers. Individual and team winners will have a direct spot at the 2019 CrossFit Games . In addition, the competition distributes more than $600,000 in prizes.
