How did you do in 19.1 of the Open CrossFit Games ?
It seems easy but this WOD of Wall Balls and rowing has been a test of endurance for the body and mind.
News in Live Announcements
As we have already mentioned in the PICSIL Bl o g, this year is very special for the Open Games.
They will be the last ones to be held in February-March and they are already launching the new features at the classification level for the 2019 CrossFit Games .
Among them, we have seen that the live announcements of the Open WODs have changed.
For 19.1, we haven't seen Dave Castro or the CrossFit Media team announcing the workout live at a WOD held at an affiliate in a part of the world with the CrossFit elite in attendance.
This time, we have had 3 Live Announcements : one in Great Britain, another in France and the third in Brazil.
Each advertisement broadcast the event live with its national athletes and in its language to give greater prominence to affiliated pits and sanctioned competitions such as CrossFit French Throwdown or CrossFit Strength in Depth.
In the British event, we saw Sam Briggs take on Kelly Friel and Steven Fawcett at 19.1 and win the live competition.
Classification after 19.1
We take a look at the CrossFit Games Leaderboard to see how the world-class athletes and the Spanish candidates for a direct place in the Madison Games have fared.
