POSSIBLY THE BEST CROSSFIT EVENT IN SPAIN: PICSIL PAMPLONA ARENA GAMES
What is possibly one of the sporting events of the year in Navarra, for which multiple national and international athletes are already training, will take place on February 2, 3 and 4, 2024, and will feature some of the most renowned athletes of the world panorama.
The Pamplona Arena Games is a recently created licensed Crossfit event, which had its first edition in 2023.
At its beginning, this CrossFit competition hosted 960 athletes registered in teams of 4, in which different categories participated, separated by the levels of this sport: climbed, intermediate and RX. The public attendance for the first edition exceeded expectations, with more than 2,500 crossfit fans who spent each of the two days of competition at the event, to show their sympathy with this sport.
Due to its resounding success in terms of organization, treatment of athletes and impact on the Crossfit community throughout Spain, new ways of working were thought of to make an event with greater relevance and that, due to location, facilities, organization, treatment and quality of athletes, was a reference in the world of CrossFit both in Spain and in Europe.
For this reason, in its second edition, the sports equipment brand Picsil joins the project, adding its name to the competition with the aim of offering the entire Navarrese (and Spanish) community the possibility of seeing the best crossfit athletes of the moment. , national and international, compete face to face with each other individually, with a poster that is very difficult to find in Spain, meaning that this event will be followed by thousands of spectators who love cross training. On this occasion, with one more day of the event (3 days instead of two) and with the news they bring us, an attendance of about 8,000 people is expected, spread over the 3 days of competition.
NEWS AT PICSIL PAMPLONA ARENA GAMES 2024:
For teams :
- New locations (there will be at least one location outside the Navarra Arena pavilion).
- More team registered: the number goes from 240 teams to 280, which implies 160 more athletes than the previous edition.
- Athlete pack with higher quality
New individual category :
- Consists of 20 male and 20 female crossfit athletes
- Qualifier for each of the categories, in which 10 of the 20 individual athletes enter through this classification, and another 10 are invited by Picsil and the organization.
This individual category is causing people to talk, since the athletes who are being confirmed are world class.
Picsil has surprised us by announcing Roman Khrennikov , currently number 3 in the world, one of the most followed crossfitters on social networks and most loved by the public around the world. It will be his first appearance in Europe after 3 years, since he went to the United States to train to try to become the fittest man in the world, so his visit to Spain is attracting a lot of interest.

- Iranzu Etxeberria - best Navarrese athlete and semi-finalist of the Crossfit Games by team
- Daniel Camacho - best Navarrese athlete and semifinalist of the Crossfit Games as an individual
- Marina Crismariu - semi-finalist of the Crossfit Games by team
- Vanessa Maria Wagner - Europe's 45th athlete
- Alazne Eguiazabal - one of the fittest athletes in Spain and current winner of the Basque Crossfit Txapelketa.

Unlike other competitions, the objective of this sporting event is to truly reward those crossfitters who work hard throughout the year and give them the opportunity to fight, on the same track, at the same time, against the big stars of CrossFit. For this reason, it has been considered that most WODs will not be matches in heats, but rather that all individual athletes of the same sex will compete at the same time.
