Back to the box: 3 basics of your survival kit

Number 1: Motivation

Motivation is the main ingredient you need to carry out your return to boxing successfully.

How to motivate yourself? There are many ways:

  • Go to the box with your friends : swap the beer and tapas dates for an hour of group exercise.
  • Look for different activities : if your box offers you other activities, try new disciplines to return to the enthusiasm of the beginning.
  • Ask your coach for help : take advantage of the Open hours and talk to your coach so that they can make a customized program for you and motivate you.
  • Listen to music : it is a great source of motivation when training. If you have a hard time finishing the reps of the WOD, with an epic soundtrack that includes Rocky's music, you will make it to the end like a true champion.
  • Set realistic goals : maintaining motivation over time involves perseverance and achieving small goals. Make a list of your goals for this year, organize your training calendar and remember to go progressively but constantly.
  • Write down your achievements : do not compare yourself, neither with others, nor with your marks before the Christmas break. Returning to CrossFit after a period of inactivity is very hard, we all know that. So take it as a new beginning: find your current highs and record your progress week after week. Maybe you'll be surprised.
  • Disconnect when you need to : even if you change beer hangouts for crossfit hangouts, you don't have to give them up. If you are tired or feel like skipping a day of training, do it. There is nothing worse than doing something reluctantly. But, beware! Only from time to time.

Number 2: Anti-cold equipment

The cold is not an excuse to stop training .

What's more, you'll surely have a better time than in the summer. You just have to have the right clothes.

What do you need to train in the cold in the middle of winter?

  • Long sleeve technical t-shirt
  • Long leggings
  • Hat and buff
  • High socks

In addition, you need to thoroughly warm up your joints and muscles to avoid pulling and contractures.

You can wear a short-sleeved t-shirt under the technique to continue training comfortably once you warm up.

You can even use heat cream to activate certain areas such as the lumbar or trapezius.

Number 3: Operation Bikini

Arriving at summer with a killer body is the motivation for many to play sports and start a diet.

Operation Bikini starts after Christmas, especially to lose the extra pounds.

However, beyond the motivation of having a 10 body in summer, Operation Bikini is an excuse to start a healthy diet . Or rather, change your eating habits to always eat well.

The best diet is the one that doesn't look like a diet.
