BELTS TO PRACTICE CROSS TRAINING:

At Picsil we have cross training belts for women and cross training belts for men. This is a unisex item where each user must choose their correct size. In addition, at picsil sport there is the option of obtaining your personalized lumbar belt . Not only will you be protected, but with a unique design that will not leave anyone indifferent in your box.

- DEAD WEIGHT:

- SNATCH:

- THE DUMBBELL OVERHEAD SQUAT: (When we pick up heavy weights)

THE SPLIT JERK:

THE HANG POWER CLEAN:

BELTS TO PRACTICE WEIGHTPROFLYING:

First of all, we will start by explaining what weightlifting is. Weightlifting or Olympic Weightlifting is a sport that consists of lifting the maximum possible weight on a bar at the ends of which rubberized discs with certain weights are fixed, which determine the final weight that is lifted. To this are added the locks or collars and this set is called a lever.

There are two types of competition: snatch and two times or clean and jerk :

  • The first involves lifting the weights, at once and without interruption, from the floor to the full extension of the arms above the head.
  • In the second, the same thing must be achieved, but the movement is interrupted when the bar is at shoulder height.

Since this is a sport in which you compete, it also requires technical material with specific specifications. At Picsil Sport we have a weightlifting belt approved by the AEP.

AMONG THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THIS, THEY STAND OUT:

  • 10cm wide
  • Less than 1.3mm thick
  • Ultralight and flexible foam core
  • Designed for a snug, ergonomic fit
  • Mesh design to improve airflow
  • Velcro strap for a custom fit
  • Rubberized details for greater styling

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LUMBAR BELT AND WEIGHTLIFTING BELT:

The big question that we frequently encounter at picsil sport regarding lumbar belts. What is the difference between the lumbar belt and the weightlifting belt? The answer is simple. The weightlifting belt HAS SPECIFIC MEASUREMENTS FOR COMPETITION and is approved by the AEP (Spanish Weightlifting Association) while the picsil lumbar belt does not have exact measurements for competition. The powerlifting belt has a smaller thickness than the lumbar belt which makes it more flexible . For many people this is an advantage and for others it is a feeling of less security. At this specific point the subjectivity and comfort of each person comes into play.

The picsil weightlifting belt has a longer velcro than the lumbar belt . In the latter, we have a customization option, we can embroider our name on the velcro, while in the weightlifting belt we do not currently have this option.

Another of the big questions regarding the differences between these that we find at picsil sport is the following, Can I train weightlifting and cross training with both? The answer is: YES, BOTH BELTS ARE SUITABLE FOR TRAINING THE TWO DISCIPLINES. But, we remember that for weightlifting competitions, we must opt for the picsil belt for weightlifting since it has approved measurements.

GUIDE TO ADJUSTING A LUMBAR BELT:

A properly adjusted hip belt is an important tool for providing support and stability during Cross Training and Weightlifting workouts. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to properly adjust a hip belt:

  1. Selecting the correct size : It is essential to choose a belt that fits your body correctly . Please refer to the size guide provided by the manufacturer and measure your waist circumference before purchasing.

  1. Initial Placement : Place the hip belt around your waist, making sure the back of the belt is on your lower back , just above your iliac crests (hip bones). The front of the belt should be aligned with your abdomen.

  1. Adjusting Tension : Begin adjusting the tension of the belt by pulling the straps outward. You should feel a firm but not uncomfortable pressure around your waist. Make sure the belt is tight enough to provide support , but still allow breathing and comfortable movement.

  1. Checking the position : Once the belt is adjusted, make sure it is positioned correctly. The back of the belt should be centered and resting on your lower back, while the front should be in line with your abdomen.

  1. Movement and Test: Perform some basic movements, such as squats or light lifts, to evaluate the comfort and stability of the hip belt. Make sure there are no significant restrictions on your range of motion and that the belt provides the necessary support during intense movements.

  1. Additional adjustments: If you feel that the belt is not providing enough support or if you experience discomfort, you can make additional adjustments. Be sure to maintain even tension throughout the belt and avoid overtightening it , as this can limit breathing and movement.

Remember that a hip belt should not be used as a permanent solution to poor technique. It is important to work on strengthening the stabilizing muscles and maintain good weight lifting technique. The belt should be used as a temporary and complementary aid to maximize safety and performance during Cross Training and Weightlifting training.

We hope that this article helps you resolve doubts about the different belts that we have at Picsil. Always remember to protect the lumbar area of your body and remember that improvement in weight lifting exercises is progressive, enjoy the process and the satisfaction of evolving day by day.
