20.2, even Dave Castro has had a bad time

20.2 has already passed, a long WOD, of physical endurance and mental strength to maintain a good pace to accumulate the maximum number of repetitions.

We also take advantage of this second week of the Open CrossFit Games 2020 to review the general classification and learn about the fittests in Spain and the world.

20.2

20 min AMRAP
4 Dumbbell Thrusters (35/50 lb)
6 Toes-to-bar
24 DU

Even Dave Castro confesses that it has been harder than he imagined because he had not tested it like other Open WODs. As a curiosity, the 20.2 is based on the Cindy benchmark .

Live announcement

This time, the Live Annoucement was done in Montreal, Canada, and in Queensland, Australia. Two countries that have tested our level of English and French to understand the interviews and comments during the WOD.

We highlight the Australian confrontation between Matt McLeod and Khan Porter , two names that are more popular in the CrossFit world than the Canadian athletes (no, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet was not there since she is now American).

You can watch or rewatch the matches on the Games website: https://games.crossfit.com/open .

Classification after 20.2

But let's get to what interests us: the Leaderboard .

As you already know, the winners of 20.1 were Emma McQuaid and Lefteris Theofanidis . And, as we announced, the Frenchman who did the WOD in half the time of the elite disappeared from the rankings. Therefore, third place, or rather, second place by tie goes to BKG, our PicSil athlete .

Winners 20.2

The Danish Frederik Aegidus and the Norwegian Kristin Holte take the title of winners of 20.2.

Aegidus adds a total of 1,030 repetitions performing 30 rounds + 4 DB Thrusters and 6 T2B.

Holte, for his part, accumulates a total of 1,045 repetitions with 30 rounds + 4 DB Thrusters, 6 T2B and 15 DU.

In Spain, the winners of 20.2 are Rubén Insúa , with 929 reps (27 rounds + 4 DB Thrusters, 6 T2B and 1 DU; and Rita García , with 941 reps (27 rounds + 4 DB Thrusters, 6 T2B and 13 DU).

This Thursday/Friday we are already entering the halfway point of the Open which, for the hope of many, will mean (or not) the return of the bar and heavy lifts.

If you don't already follow us on Instagram, now is a good time to do so.

Every week we talk to one of our PicSil athletes to find out their impressions about the sport, the Open and who can make it to the Games.

Look look...
